We found Papa boat trips (Dolphin Dive) after getting off our cruise ship. We decided to try them with no advanced knowledge. Excellent crew, good boat, good snorkeling, all in all an enjoyable excursion.
Just came back from a boat trip on Pappas boat. They promised a tour of some fishing villages, snorkeling, volcano mud bath, natural hot tubs and a traditional island lunch. They delivered that and more. “Skittles” was our guide with “Pappa” driving the boat. They made sure we had drinks everywhere we went, described the history of the sites and climbed mango trees to give us fresh fruit. The service and trip couldn’t have been better. The staff was very personable. These people became our friends. Can’t say enough about the trip. Ask for Skittles when you are on the beach at the Halcyon in St. Lucia!
We were on a 1 week cruise going to the islands of the Caribbean. I wanted to try and book a boat trip to the Pitons while in St Lucia. After countless futile efforts of booking a trip prior to getting on board our cruise ship. I was still trying organize a trip involving the Pitons from Castries in St Lucia. We stumbled on Dolphin Dives and they had a specific section outlined for cruise ship tours. (limited time in port). In the course of 24 hours through e-mail I was able to get a confirmation and the trip was on. We met Captain Irwin at the cruise port and although we were a little delayed we were on our way. It is a bit of a jaunt from the cruise port to first Marigot Bay and then to the Pitons. We stopped in Ti Kay Resort for 1 1/2 hours of snorkeling. This pristine little cove was perfect for both the coral and amount of fish to see. The bar the beach was very nice be forewarned the cost of drink is $15 USD and up. We then proceed up for the view of the Piltons from the sea. If there could be any improvement I would have spent a little more time there to take it in and get the pictures taken. We then came back to Marigot Bay to stop there for Lunch. Lots of choices there and we had ended up with a nice lunch. We were back to the Cruise port by 3pm. A great trip and if I ever get a chance to get back to St Lucia I would book with Irwin again.
